OptiLube 11ml is a sterile, single-use pre-filled syringe containing water-soluble lubricating jelly, developed specifically for use during urethral and suprapubic catheterisation. It is designed to help lubricate the urethra before catheter insertion, reducing resistance and helping minimise discomfort and trauma during the procedure.

Unlike some catheterisation gels, standard OptiLube contains no active ingredients such as Lidocaine or Chlorhexidine. This makes it suitable where these ingredients are not required or where a patient has a known sensitivity or contraindication to them.
