The BD PosiFlush™ SP 10ml Prefilled Saline Syringe is a ready-to-use saline flush syringe containing 0.9% sodium chloride solution. It is designed for flushing indwelling vascular access devices and helps reduce the need for manual preparation of saline syringes.

This is the SP — Sterile Path / Sterile Fluid Pathway version. The fluid pathway is sterile, but the syringe is not externally sterile and should not be presented into a sterile field. BD describes the 306575 product as Sterile Fluid Pathway, with 10ml volume, 0.9% sodium chloride, BD Luer-Lok™ tip, and 30 syringes per shelf box.

Each syringe is supplied as a single sealed prefilled syringe, making it suitable where smaller quantities are required rather than a full box of 30.

Intended use

For flushing indwelling vascular access devices in accordance with local clinical procedures and the manufacturer’s instructions for use. BD states that PosiFlush™ SP syringes are intended for flushing indwelling vascular access devices and are designed for use outside sterile areas only.

Important information

This product is not an empty syringe. It is prefilled with 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

This product has a sterile fluid pathway but is not externally sterile. For sterile field use, the externally sterile BD PosiFlush™ XS range should be used instead.
